Having done this adulthood thing for a few years, I think it’s a scam. As children, we couldn’t grow up fast enough. We had this idea that once we grew up, everything we wanted would be ours for the taking. No more bedtimes, curfews, not being bought what you want, school. Newborn tips

Newborns are cute, with their disproportionate head body ratio, sweet smell, adorable sounds, we can’t help but love them, They can be a whole lot of work though, Show me a parent who isn’t run down that first couple of months and we shall declare them superhuman. They feed-sleep-repeat, poop and pee in between, or in some cases like mine, poop as many times as they feed in about 2-3 hours cycles. This crazy thing called motherhood

When my child was placed in my arms for the first time, I did not cry. Instead, I was filled with this huge sense of responsibility and it scared me.  Somehow this made it so real. This tiny being was going to be completely reliant on me at least for some time and look up to me for the rest of my life.  I had to keep him alive and help him adjust to this big bad world.
